Children’s film edition
–
In cooperation with the International Children’s Film Festival LUCAS, the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT has published a children’s film collection called the KINDERFILM-EDITION. The collection is already available, containing ten outstanding and award-winning films. These include the Erich Kästner film THE FLYING CLASSROOM (2003) as well as the LUCAS-winner PAULA’S SECRET (2006).
“We really loved that movie! Where can we buy it?” Until now, the International Children’s Film Festival has always had to answer with “nowhere.” Most films that have been or will be shown at the International Children’s Film Festival LUCAS have no German distributor. Many can only be enjoyed in German movie theaters on selected occasions. In cooperation with the International Children’s Film Festival LUCAS, DIE ZEIT is now bringing ten children’s films to the small screen in the form of the KINDERFILM-EDITION. Four of the films were previously shown in the competition program at LUCAS:
LEAPS AND BOUNDS, Sweden 2007, dir.: Petter Naess
PAULA’S SECRET, Germany 2006, dir.: Gernot Krää
MISA MI, Sweden 2003, dir.: Linus Torell
SOS: SUMMER OF SUSPENSE, Norway 2008, dir.: Arne Lindtner Næss
The DVD collection is available for the price of €89,95 through the online shop of the German Film Museum at www.shop.deutschesfilmmuseum.de and in the DIE ZEIT-Shop at http://shop.zeit.de/. The collection comes in a colourful slipcase.
